Express your gratitude with these tips!

Spend 5-10 minutes each day thinking about the things you are thankful for that day. It can help you be more positive!

At dinner with your family or friends, take turns sharing 1 to 2 things for which you are grateful. By sharing you may also realize gratitude for something you may not have thought about or inspire others to feel similarly.

Dig deep and think of specifics for which you are thankful. It is easy to say you’re thankful for your family, job, friends, etc. Be more specific–for example, “I am thankful for the way my son can make me laugh, even after a long day at work.”

Give to those in need or volunteer to not only improve someone else’s life, but your own as well. Ideas include: donating food, sending care packages to hospital patients, or visiting an eldercare facility.

Thank a family member or friend who has contributed to your life in a positive way.

Always say “please” and “thank you.” It can go a long way when interacting with others. It demonstrates respect and appreciation.

Write thank you notes. If you are the holiday host or hostess, be sure to write notes to those who may bring you gifts or contribute to the celebration.
